The right wins 5 to 3

“Union for Democracy” will get 50 percent of the vote, while the left only 30.89. PD ranks at the top of the list of parties, followed by PS; the third party is the “Legality Movement” “The right” finds itself against rebellion The first poll by the right-wing newspaper “Rilindja Demokratike” has begun; it will investigate public opinion regarding the winner of the 29 June elections. The survey began yesterday through questionnaires distributed in different forms, both directly and by telephone. It draws on the experience gained by the newspaper’s staff in conducting electoral polls in parliamentary elections, local partial elections, and the constitutional referendum, producing results with a maximum deviation of 1.6 percent from the results of the election commissions. By the second hour, after the results of 63 percent of the distributed questionnaires had been presented, “RD” calculates that “Union for Democracy” will receive around 50 percent of the vote and the left no more than 30.89. All the measurements made so far by this newspaper’s polling center are once again confirming that the 29 June victory belongs to the coalition “Union for Democracy”. The increase, on the part of Nano and his Socialists, in the tactic of slander and manipulation against the election process is the first signal of the left’s imminent defeat. Faced with unfavorable facts, namely that his coalition will not be able to fulfill any of the election promises with which it has deceived the left-wing masses for 7 years, Socialist leader Fatos Nano becomes hysterical, using for the mass media the most vulgar and anti-democratic language against the Albanian right. These days, Nano was gripped by panic when his recent plan to manipulate and challenge the 29 June elections was exposed. The plan involved staging chaos and terror in Albania and presenting it as a factor that would damage the electoral process. The actions of the Socialists and their criminal gangs, which they created with Nano’s support and indulgence, lost their meaning and their failed objective at the moment it became clear that the majority of Albanians were certainly heading to vote for the right. But what undoubtedly damages the international reputation and prestige of the PS are the slanderous accusations against the coalition partner of “Union for Democracy”, the Legality Party. To declare Abaz Kupi, the most prominent anti-communist partisan in Albanian history, a “traitor,” and to accuse his son, the supporter and organizer of the anti-communist movement in Albania, of being a “collaborator,” is an act that goes beyond the bounds of madness. Such a political and moral vacuum can only lead to a profound moral defeat for the PS and its allies before Albanian and international public opinion. The right wins 5 to 3

PS gangs take up arms

Gramsh. Doksi’s escort blocks PD distribution. The PS gangs have begun to show their full potential. Doksi’s escort blocks PD distribution The PS gangs have begun to show their full potential. Yesterday’s Përrenjas story has frightened them even more by denouncing this scandalous act that the far left commits with political awareness. Several months ago, on the right side of the center of Gramsh, in the place called by the mosque, with the support of the local PS authorities, they began to collect and sell weapons. When asked why they had turned to arms, the sellers reply: “We will not come back until we win the vote.” Meanwhile yesterday, by direct order of the PS, several PD activists who were distributing election material were forcibly stopped. A group of armed individuals threatened them and forced them to leave. This fact constitutes a serious violation of the electoral climate and proves the use of political violence to hinder the opposition campaign. ON PAGE 4

“The right” finds itself against rebellion

A recent poll conducted on 29 June gives the right-wing coalition “Union for Democracy” 50 percent of the vote nationwide, compared with 30 percent for the left-wing coalition “Alliance for the State”. The result that will bring the winner into parliament. According to the first data from this poll, it appears that the outcome of the 29 June elections will be decided in favor of the Albanian right. Nationwide, “Union for Democracy” stands at 50 percent of the vote, with a significant lead over “Alliance for the State”, which gathers around 30 percent. The data were drawn from a survey conducted through questionnaires distributed in urban and rural areas of the country by the newspaper “Rilindja Demokratike”. If these figures are confirmed by other polls as well, the coalition “Union for Democracy” would have a majority of seats in parliament, while “Alliance for the State” would face a significant defeat. The poll shows the balance between the camps in favor of the right and places the Democratic Party at the top of the most-voted political forces. In the party ranking, PD emerges as the leading force with 31.6 percent, leaving behind the Socialist Party with 16.8 percent. After them comes the “Legality Movement,” which appears as the third party with 7.6 percent. Next are the Republican Party with 6.5 percent, PSD with 5.7 percent, Balli Kombëtar with 4.6 percent, PBDNJ with 4.4 percent, Democratic Alliance with 4.1 percent, and other parties with lower percentages. According to the analysis accompanying the poll, the gap between the camps may widen because of the political climate and the discontent linked to the previous socialist government. The article also emphasizes the reaction of Fatos Nano and the socialists, who are accused of using slander and manipulation to cover up the expected defeat. The article presents this trend as a clear sign of the electorate’s orientation toward the right and as an indication that the involvement of historical names, such as Abaz Kupi and his son, will carry a high political cost for the PS. Nano a figure in the Albanian pyramids

Economic babble - socialist “Patrica” in the market economy Neither escapes anyone. Nano against the bist in the market. It has to be paid. Gathered from the giraffe. Then withdrawn and then retired. Under socialism we were all poor. Under democracy many of us remained and took. It speaks of around 16 billion in the social scheme. So now, where is Adam’s apple? Where are the billions? If there had been no pyramid schemes, Fatos Nano and his socialists would have had a much harder time finding alibis for the financial catastrophe. The article mocks Nano’s role in the market economy and portrays him as a figure tied to the climate that allowed the pyramid companies to flourish. ON PAGE 5
